It is not a generic website builder — every feature is purpose-built for weddings that span multiple languages, cultures, and countries. Couples sign up, set up their wedding details through a guided onboarding flow (including an optional conversational AI interview), choose a visual theme, publish in their chosen languages, invite guests via personalised magic links, and manage RSVPs from a central dashboard — all without technical knowledge.

LumiWed was built because existing wedding website platforms (The Knot, Zola, Withjoy) are English-first or single-language by design. Multicultural couples — a Dutch-Spanish couple in Amsterdam, an Irish-Brazilian couple in Dublin, a German-Japanese couple in Berlin — have historically had to create separate sites, manually copy-paste translations, or send different links to different family groups. LumiWed solves that problem completely.

## Who LumiWed Is For

**Primary audience:** Multicultural and bilingual couples in Europe and North America — one partner from one country, the other from another, with guests spread across two to four languages and nationalities. Age 25–40, digitally comfortable, willing to pay for genuine convenience.

## Core Features

**Multilingual by default.** LumiWed supports English, German, Dutch, French, Spanish, and Italian. Couples select which languages to activate. The platform stores translated versions of all content and serves each guest in their preferred language automatically. Translations are AI-powered through a quality-checked pipeline (GPT-4o translate → Claude Sonnet judge → stored).

**Guest magic links.** Every guest receives a personalised link by email. There is no login, no password, no app to download. One tap opens the wedding site in the correct language for that guest. **RSVP and guest management dashboard.** Couples manage their full guest list from a central dashboard. Couples talk through their day — venue, schedule, love story, travel tips, cultural traditions — rather than filling in a long form. The platform extracts structured data from the conversation and populates the wedding site.

**Effortless setup.** Couples who prefer a manual path can fill in all details directly through the dashboard editor. Either way, a new wedding site takes under five minutes from sign-up to first publish.

**Automatic lifecycle management.** Free sites stay live for one month after the wedding date. Premium sites stay live for up to twelve months. Sites self-deactivate automatically (GDPR-friendly), removing the need for couples to remember to cancel or clean up. A lifecycle extension (€19) is available for couples who want their site accessible longer.

**Edge-first performance.** LumiWed's guest-facing wedding sites run on Cloudflare Workers — a global edge network — so pages load in under 1.5 seconds for guests anywhere in the world, whether they are in Amsterdam, São Paulo, Tokyo, or Lagos.

## Technical Overview

LumiWed's guest-facing wedding sites run on Cloudflare Workers (edge computing), ensuring sub-1.5-second page loads globally. The dashboard and admin interfaces are also Worker-hosted TanStack Start React applications. The backend uses Supabase (PostgreSQL with Row-Level Security) so all wedding data is isolated per couple. Authentication for couples uses Clerk; guests use signed magic links with no Clerk dependency. Translations are processed through an n8n automation pipeline with GPT-4o and Claude Sonnet as quality judges. All data is encrypted in transit. GDPR compliance is built into the lifecycle model — data deletes automatically after the defined retention period.
